Althea is a sewing pattern for an A-line skirt with an integrated elasticated waistband with pockets (because every skirt needs pockets)! It an easy sew with only two pattern pieces. This makes it perfect for beginners whether you are new to sewing, new to African wax prints or both! For more experienced sewers, you'll be able to complete this project in an hour or so. Pattern matching can be tricky when sewing with wax prints, however, the small number of pattern pieces makes pattern matching a breeze. 

This skirt has no darts or zips. It has a gathered effect at the waistband. The pattern includes lengthening and shortening lines allowing you to adjust the finished hem to the length of your choice.
